In Spain, Marlies fell in love with the “sobremesa,” one of the most beautiful traditions: the art of lingering at the table after a meal. The table is more than just a place to eat; it’s a sanctuary for telling stories, forging bonds that stand the test of time, and feeling without restraint. Driven by a deep longing for connection, she joins forces with guitarist Roel Goedhart to explore what comes alive around the table. Sobremesa is a mosaic of musical stories about the search for beauty, connection, and slowing down in a world that seems to be spinning faster and faster.
